New White Stripes Video

We love you Jack but you sound like when I try to speak Spanish, and get laughed at by Puerto Ricans.

New Mountain Goats Video

I thought this was clever. The Mountain Goats took me a little while to get used to, but once you do, it is well worth the initial ambiguity towards their sound.

Something new from Lisa Hannigan...finally.

My apologies for not keeping up with this. Let me first say that I wholly agree with Eric's post below. Last night I had the chance of seeing TWBB again, and it left as big of an impression on me as the first time I saw it. It is cinematically perfect, the acting superb, the plot line intricate, and the music, the music is breathtaking. Quite literally. So go see it. Watch for some of the more symbolic things that Anderson is doing and I promise, you will not be disappointed.

Now on to the title of this post. Former Damien Rice band member/lovely female vocalist Lisa Hannigan has released a new demo song called lille. It is wonderful. She is currently working on a solo album, and from the sound of it, it will be my most anticipated album (of the year, hopefully). So here you are: http://www.myspace.com/lisahannigan

The Desevered Winner of the Golden Globe for Best Picture

There Will be Blood, Paul Thomas Anderson's adaptation of Upton Sinclair's Oil! is without a doubt the best movie released in the year 2007, if not the best movie produced in several years. Daniel Day Lewis, as Mr. Plainfield, the rough and atheistic oil man in early twentieth century California presents the best piece of acting I have seen in several years, leaving the audience both fascinated and repulsed by the development of this man's entrepreneurship. The soundtrack to the film, composed by Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, is both melodic and haunting, masterfully accenting the ambiance of the film. Check it out.
